Susan Seaforth Hayes

American actor Susan Seaforth Hayes was born Susan Seabold. She was raised in Hollywood, California as her mother, Elizabeth Harrower, was an actor and screenwriter for the soap opera "Days of Our Lives" (NBC, 1965-). Following her mother's footsteps into the film industry, Seaforth Hayes began with smaller guest roles in the 1950s and 60s on shows such as "Lassie" (CBS, 1954-71) and "The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp" (ABC, 1955-61). In 1968 she was cast in the role that would define her career: playing Julie Olson Williams on "Days of Our Lives" (NBC, 1965-). She was a full-time main character from 1968 to 1984 and continued as a periodic recurring character for over 50 years. Her character's on-screen romance with Doug Williams became a favorite in the media when she and her co-star, Bill Hayes, announced they had married in real-life in 1974. The couple were married for 50 years until Bill's death at the age of 98 in 2024.
