Sully Erna

American singer-songwriter and musician Sully Erna, best known for his work with the rock band Godsmack, was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He first showed interest in music at an early age and started playing the drums at just three years old. Son of a Sicilian trumpet player, and grandson to a famous composer, Erna would watch his father rehearse and soon discovered his ability to play music by ear. While internal conflicts ended his partnership with his first band, Strip Mind, Erna found success with the band Godsmack, in which he's the vocalist and rhythm guitarist. His first solo album, "Avalon" (2010) is very different from his usual work with Godsmack, and he followed this innovative recipe with "Hometown Life" (2016), which also featured his father on the trumpet. Besides music, Erna is also known for his appearances in the shows "Criss Angel Mindfreak" (A&E, 2005-10) and "Dirt" (FX, 2007-08), as well as for a few minor roles in film, such as Martin Scorcese's "Bleed for This" (2016).
