LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT · S6, E23Goliath
Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are called into Cragen's (Dann Florek) office, where a lieutenant from the Internal Affairs Bureau informs them a uniformed cop's wife, Jamie Callahan (Amy Landecker), claims her husband raped and abused her. They question Jamie and she doesn't trust that they'll believe her, so they talk to her husband, Tommy (R.E. Rogers). He denies ever hurting his wife, but while still in the squad room, he attacks his captain, and they cuff him and send him to psych services. Shortly thereafter, another cop, Wes Meyers (Brian Hutchison), kills his wife and tries to kill himself by putting a gun to his head. He barely survives, and his 10-year-old son watched the whole tragedy unfold. There's a connection - both Meyers and Callahan had been in the Army Reserve unit and served in Afghanistan. The detectives wonder if it isn't post-traumatic stress disorder, but Huang (B.D. Wong) talks to Callahan and believes that's not the case.

LAW & ORDER · S4, E2Volunteers
Is a bloodied and bruised homeless man a victim of the streets - or the residents? Detectives discover a large amount of cash in the victim's pocket, which rules out robbery as a motive. Upon questioning locals, they learn of a neighborhood watch group called The Block Association who say they only wanted the transient committed to a hospital, not dead. It is soon revealed that the homeless man had mugged a local resident moments before he himself was attacked - which points the case in a new direction.
