A Fox In the Henhouse
Walter announces to Charles and Buddy that Matty Whitford, who went to the Naval Academy with his son, is coming to dinner and hands them a pot of Fiji stew. Lt. Whitford arrives to a warm welcome and immediately lusts for Ellen. He asks Charles if he is involved with Ellen, whom he assumes must be lonely with her husband abroad, and Charles flatly denies his accusations. Then Charles and Walter taste the stew and suffer from a case of food poisoning resulting from bad clams. Ellen rushes them to the hospital for observation. Charles is terribly nervous about leaving Ellen alone with Lt. Whitford, yet Walter and Ellen refuse to believe Charles.
