Stacy Haiduk
Superman has discriminating taste, and his adolescent love interest Lana Lang (no relation to Lois Lane) was portrayed by sparkling television personality Stacy Haiduk in the popular late '80s series "The Adventures of Superboy." Haiduk is also a major American soap opera star, having appeared on "All My Children" in 2007 as the sly Hannah Nichols, and on "The Young and the Restless" in 2009 as both mental patient Patty Williams and her psychiatrist, Dr. Emily Peterson. Though Haiduk later made her living in daytime dramas, "Superboy" highlights her fascination with the fantasy and comic book genres. Haiduk memorably played Lieutenant Commander Katherine Hitchcock in the first season of the NBC sci-fi submarine show "SeaQuest DSV" and a sexy vampiress on the supernatural drama "Kindred: The Embraced," which ran for just eight episodes in the mid '90s. She branched out in a guest role on "The X-Files," and as recurring character Elisa Thayer on the superhero program "Heroes" in 2006. Haiduk has also built a modest film portfolio over the years, which includes the 1994 Danielle Steel romantic yarn "A Perfect Stranger," where she played Robert Urich's love interest.
