Sô Yamamura
So Yamamura was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Yamamura found his beginnings in film with roles in "The Love of Sumako the Actress" (1947), "The Princess Yang Kwei Fei" (1955) with Machiko Kyo and the Tatsuya Nakadai drama "The Human Condition" (1959). Yamamura began to focus on film after appearing in "The Human Condition 2" (1961), the Tatsuya Nakadai drama "The Human Condition 3" (1961) and the Ryu Chishu historical drama "Nihon no Ichiban Nagai Hi" (1967). He also appeared in "Tora! Tora! Tora!" (1970) and the dramedy "Gung Ho" (1986) with Michael Keaton. Later in his career, Yamamura acted in "Tokyo Story" (1990). Yamamura passed away in May 2000 at the age of 90.
