Mary, Laura, and Mr. Edwards' adopted son Carl long to get a first-hand look at the kinds of trains they learn about in school. The kids eventually con their parents into letting them go on a business trip with them. While messing around on a caboose at the train station, the children are in for the ride of their lives when it detaches from the rest of the train and runs loose.

David Banner is arrested for vagrancy and sent to a work camp where his fellow prisoners accuse him of being an informer. Banner's initial acceptance turns to animosity after he is unable to help them present their grievances to the press due to McGee's presence. It takes the Hulk to overcome the stigma of Banner's apparent defection to the side of the corrupt prison officials and to bring the conditions at the camp to the attention of the public.
