Simone-Elise Girard

Simone-Élise Girard's career on screen didn't begin with a bang. First interested in pursuing dance, Girard honed her craft through her teenage and college years, before refocusing to pursue a career in acting. In 1990, she had a small part in a small movie called "You're Driving Me Crazy" (1990), then a bit part in the horror sequel "Scanners II: The New Order" (1991). After a series of small roles in TV and film, her perseverance paid off in 2004, with a multi-episode arc on "ER" (NBC, 1994-2009) playing Gillian Ronin, a romantic interest for Dr. Luka Kovac (Goran Visnjic) when he helps out at a clinic in the war torn Republic of Congo. In 2005, Girard began a two-year stint playing Linda Léger on the Canadian melodrama "Virginie" (Radio-Canada, 1996-2010). In 2013, Girard had a breakout year on Canadian television, when she played lead roles in two popular series, "O'" (TVA, 2012-) and "Unité 9" (Radio-Canada, 2012-). In 2016, she appeared in the title role of Béatrice in Denis Côté's feature "Boris Without Béatrice" (2016).
