Shoshannah Stern

Shoshannah Stern was born, in Walnut Creek, CA. She was born deaf to deaf parents, and as such was raised fluent in American Sign Language, but also learned to read lips and speak English independently. Stern attended California School for the Deaf, Fremont, and the went on to enroll in the Washington D.C.-based Gallaudet University, a liberal arts school specifically tailored to hearing-impaired students. Stern began acting professionally during college, making her feature film debut with the comedic murder mystery movie "The Auteur Theory" (1999), costarring Natasha Lyonne. From there on, Stern performed on screen, amounting television projects like the thriller "Threat Matrix" (ABC 2003-04) and films like "The Last Shot" (2004), and stage, touring with the Deaf West Theatre in Hollywood, CA. Stern's next major roles came with the crime comedy series "Weeds" (Showtime 2005-2012), on which she played recurring character Megan, and the post-apocalyptic drama series "Jericho" (CBS 2006-08), on which she had a series regular role as the rebellious Bonnie Richmond. In 2008, she appeared in hip hop artist will.i.am. 's "Yes We Can" music video in promotion for the presidential campaign of Barack Obama. In 2016, she joined the cast of "Supernatural" (The WB/The CW 2005) in a recurring role as hunter Eileen Leahy.
