Shirley Jo Finney
Shirley Jo Finney was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In the early stages of her Hollywood career, Jo Finney acted in comedies like "Echo Park" (1986) with Susan Dey. She additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Wilma" (NBC, 1977-78) and "Thornwell" (CBS, 1980-81). She continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in the Barbra Streisand dramatic adaptation "Nuts" (1987) and the action film "One Man Force" (1989) with John Matuszak. She also appeared in the TV special "15 and Getting Straight" (CBS, 1988-89). Her work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (Showtime, 1986-87). Additionally, she appeared on the television special "Different Worlds: A Story of Interracial Love" (CBS, 1991-92). She held additional roles in television including a part on "Where I Live" (ABC, 1992-94). Jo Finney more recently directed "Moesha" (UPN, 1995-2001). Shirley Jo Finney died on October 10, 2023 at the age of 74.
