Serge Marquand

Serge Marquand was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Marquand appeared in such films as the comedy "Please Not Now!" (1961) with Brigitte Bardot, the horror movie "...Et mourir de plaisir" (1961) with Mel Ferrer and "Vice and Virtue" (1963). He also appeared in the Giuliano Gemma western "Wanted" (1968), "Barbarella" (1968) and the Giuliano Gemma drama "Sons of Satan" (1969). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Bernadette Lafont action flick "Les Gants Blancs du Diable" (1973), the thriller "Caravan to Vaccares" (1974) with Charlotte Rampling and the Jean-Pierre Léaud romantic comedy "Les Lolos de Lola" (1975). He also appeared in "Le Jeu avec le feu" (1975). During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "Quartet" (1981) with Isabelle Adjani, the Monica Broeke drama "First Desires" (1983) and the comedy "Frankenstein 90" (1984) with Jean Rochefort. He also appeared in "Chere canaille" (1987) and the dramedy "Grand Guignol" (1987) with Caroline Cellier. Most recently, Marquand appeared in "The Count of Monte Cristo" (1998-99).
