Sebastien Roberts

Sebastien Roberts was a French Canadian actor who got into the business later in life, but soon became a prolific presence in his home country's film and TV industry. Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Roberts always dreamed of becoming an actor, but didn't think it was a viable career option, especially after becoming a father at the age of 21. However, when Roberts was 26, his twin sister unexpectedly died. Deciding that life was too short for regrets, Roberts decided to pursue acting after all, enrolling at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Following his graduation in 2002, Roberts began appearing in a number of Canadian and American films, including "La Journée Avant" (2003), "The Rocket" (2005), "The Last Sect" (2006), and "Lucky Number Slevin" (2006). Roberts landed his first series regular gig playing Francois Berthier on "Providence" (ICI Radio-Canada Télé, 2005-06). After appearing in a few more films, such as "One Way" (2006), "Ice Blues" (2008), and "L'anniversaire" (2010), Roberts once again found a series regular gig on the dramatic sitcom "Mauvais Karma" (ICI Radio-Canada Télé, 2010-12). Following a quick detour into franchise horror with "Hellraiser: Revelations" (2011), Roberts found himself a recurring character on a number of shows, including the high school drama "30 Vies" (ICI Radio-Canada Télé, 2011-), the police procedural "Le Gentleman" (TVA, 2009-), the medical drama "Trauma" (ICI Radio-Canada Télé, 2010-), and the domestic drama "O'" (ICI Radio-Canada Télé, 2012-16). Roberts could most recently be seen playing Kevin on the assisted suicide-themed dark comedy "Mary Kills People" (Hulu, 2017-).
