Scott Holroyd
Actor Scott Holroyd studied journalism and mass communication at the University of South Carolina, from which he graduated in 1998. The following year, Holyroyd enrolled in The School for Film and Television in New York City. His acting career, however, had started before his formal education. In 1993, while still a teenager, he made an uncredited appearance in the film "The Program" and played a small role on an episode of "Matlock," playing a teenager (both in 1993). It was not until 2001, however, that Holroyd landed his most prominent role as Paul Ryan in the long-running CBS daytime soap opera "As the World Turns." To get a sense of how long "As the World Turns" was on the air, consider that Holroyd was the fifth actor to fill the role of Paul Ryan. He departed from the show in 2003 and moved to Los Angeles the following year. Holroyd's television appearances have been prolific, including roles on shows as varied as "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," "Chuck," "Ghost Whisperer," and "That '70s Show." He also played a supporting role in "Dirty Sexy Money" in 2008, while from 2009 to 2010 he appeared in "One Tree Hill." In 2007 he married his childhood friend, actress Allison Munn.
