Sarah Jayne Jensen
Growing up as a dancer, Sarah Jayne Jensen had a natural affinity for performing in front of live audiences. At the age of 16 she landed a recording contract with BMG and soon embarked on a world tour of Europe, which included song performances on various European television shows. By the early 2000s, Jensen turned her love of acting into roles in Broadway musicals. She began singing and dancing in musicals like "Oklahoma!," "Gypsy," and "Wonderful Town," before making the leap into television acting. In 2005 she appeared as a field agent on the MTV prank show "Punk'd," and followed that up with a guest-starring role in a 2007 episode of the fantasy series "Pushing Daises." 2007 would also be the year that Jensen made the jump into movie acting, appearing in the film featuring the music of the Beatles, "Across the Universe," as well as a film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical, "Hairspray." In 2008 Jensen landed her first starring role in the musical drama, "Center Stage: Turn It Up," in which she played a New York City ballet dancer. In 2011 she was given the opportunity to show her versatility as a dramatic actress when she appeared alongside Academy Award-winner Robert Duvall in the sports drama, "Seven Days in Utopia."
