Sara Vickers
Sara Vickers was a Scottish actress best known for her role as Joan Thursday on the British detective drama "Endeavour" (ITV, 2012-). Vickers was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, and always had a desire to act. Thus, when it came time to enter college, Vickers moved to London to attend the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). She studied acting at RADA and would go on to earn a degree in acting in 2010. From there, Vickers began her professional acting career in earnest. She appeared in the 2012 historical drama "Bert & Dickle" (2012), and the following year nabbed a recurring part on the British mini-series "Privates" (BBC One, 2013). 2013 was also the year Vickers appeared in a small role in the musical comedy "Sunshine on Leith" (2013). Vickers landed her breakout role in 2013 when she was cast as Joan Thursday on the British detective series "Endeavour." During her time on "Endeavour," Vickers continued nabbing other film and TV parts. In 2016 she landed a recurring part on the British crime series "Shetland" (BBC One, 2013-), playing the character Leanne Randall on five episodes of the series. Vickers also had guest spots on the historical drama "The Crown" (Netflix, 2016-), as well as on the American mystery series "The Alienist" (TNT, 2018-). With her acting career already on the rise, in the summer of 2018 it was announced that Vickers would have a role on the upcoming HBO comic book series "Watchmen." The series, which was based on the popular comic book published by DC Comics, was created by Damon Lindelof, who previously created "Lost" (ABC, 2004-2010) and "The Leftovers" (HBO, 2014-17).
