Sara Haines

Sarah Haines was born in Newton, Iowa and as a high-schooler dreamed of being a cast-member of "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975-). She played volleyball and a year of basketball while attending Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in government. After graduation, Haines decided to try to make it as a comic actress in New York. To make ends meet, she landed what would prove to be the ideal job - the NBC Page Program. After nearly a year in the page program, Haines landed a job as production coordinator on "The Today Show" (NBC, 1952-). She continued her pursuit of acting while production coordinating, but Haines switched her focus to hosting. After seven years, behind the scenes, Haines ended up on-air hosting Todayshow.com's content called "Backstage Pass," a look behind the scenes each day at "The Today Show." "Backstage Pass" quickly led to a full-time spot on the fourth hour of "Today Show," a job she held until 2013, when she joined "Good Morning America" (ABC, 1975-) as the pop news anchor. In 2016 it was announced that Haines would appear as one of the co-hosts on "The View" (ABC, 1997-).
