Ronne Troup

The actress Ronne Troup's sweet, girl-next-door quality helped her land frequent work in television during the 1970s. The daughter of musician/actor Bobby Troup, she made her debut along with Haley Mills in the girls school comedy "The Trouble with Angels" in '66. She had been cast as the lead in "The Flying Nun" in '67 but lost the role when the producer's original choice, Sally Field, reconsidered. In '68, she played Leslie, the daughter of Professor Irwin Hayden in the action serial "Danger Island," a serialized adventure seen on "The Banana Splits Adventure Hour." Troup was added to the cast of "My Three Sons" in '70, as Polly, the wife of the third son, Chip. She also made guest appearances on various programs through the '70s, including an appearance with her father on NBC's "Emergency!," but she didn't have another regular TV role until joining the cast of the nighttime soap opera "Knots Landing" in '87. Troup's acting gigs were less frequent from that point on, but during the '00s, she guest-starred in episodes of "The Practice," "The West Wing," and "Cold Case."
