Roger Planchon

Roger Planchon was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Planchon appeared in such films as "Georges Qui?" (1972), the Francois Marthouret drama "Le Dossier 51" (1978) and "I Comme Icare" (1979). He also appeared in "Danton" (1982) and "Le Grand Frere" (1982). He continued to act in productions like "The Return of Martin Guerre" (1982), "Le Septieme Cible" (1984) with Lino Ventura and the Philippe Caubere biopic "Moliere" (1986). He also appeared in the comedic adaptation "Dandin" (1988) with Claude Brasseur and "Camille Claudel" (1989) with Isabelle Adjani. During the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the Claude Brasseur drama "Radio Corbeau" (1989), the Christophe Malavoy adventure "Jean Galmot, Aventurier" (1990) and the drama "L' Annee de l'eveil" (1991) with Laurent Grevill. He also appeared in the Jacques Dufilho historical drama "Petain" (1993). Planchon most recently acted in the biographical drama "Lautrec" (1998) with Regis Royer.
