Rodd Redwing

Rodd Redwing was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Redwing started his acting career landing roles in such films as the adventure "Song of India" (1949) with Sabu, "Little Big Horn" (1951) with Lloyd Bridges and the western "Buffalo Bill in Tomahawk Territory" (1952) with Clayton Moore. He also appeared in the drama "Rancho Notorious" (1952) with Marlene Dietrich, the action flick "Flight to Tangier" (1953) with Joan Fontaine and the Barbara Stanwyck western "Cattle Queen of Montana" (1954). He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the Richard Carlson horror film "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" (1954), the dramatic adventure "The Naked Jungle" (1954) with Eleanor Parker and "The Mole People" (1956) with John Agar. He also appeared in the Arthur Franz sci-fi picture "The Flame Barrier" (1958) and "Flaming Star" (1960). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Heller in Pink Tights" (1960), "Sergeants 3" (1962) and the adaptation "Apache Uprising" (1965) with Rory Calhoun. He also appeared in the Sean Connery western adventure "Shalako" (1968). Redwing more recently acted in "Charro!" (1969) with Elvis Presley. Redwing passed away in May 1971 at the age of 67.
