Robin Hughes

Robin Hughes was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Hughes began his acting career with roles in such films as "Kiss the Blood Off My Hands" (1948) with Joan Fontaine, the romance "Enchantment" (1949) with David Niven and the Burt Lancaster adventure "The Flame and the Arrow" (1950). He also appeared in the Jose Ferrer dramatic adaptation "Cyrano De Bergerac" (1951), the Mark Stevens adventure "Mutiny" (1952) and "The Maze" (1953). His film career continued throughout the fifties in productions like the Ray Milland suspenseful adaptation "Dial M For Murder" (1954), "King Richard and the Crusaders" (1954) with Rex Harrison and the adaptation "Untamed" (1955) with Tyrone Power. He also appeared in the Cornel Wilde historical film "The Scarlet Coat" (1955). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Buccaneer" (1958), the war "Battle of the Coral Sea" (1959) with Cliff Robertson and "The Road to Hong Kong" (1962) with Bing Crosby. He also appeared in the dramatic biopic "Star!" (1968) with Julie Andrews. Hughes more recently edited "New York Hot Tracks" (1983-86).
