Robert Swan

Robert Swan was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Swan's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as "The Maverick Queen" (1956), the Tod Andrews horror feature "From Hell It Came" (1957) and the Robert Fuller action flick "The Hard Ride" (1971). He also appeared in the drama "The Day the Lord Got Busted" (1976) with Fabian. He also appeared in the TV movie "The Bounty Man" (ABC, 1972). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Banacek" (NBC, 1972-74). His film career continued throughout the eighties in productions like the thriller "ffolkes" (1980) with Roger Moore, "Take This Job and Shove It" (1981) with Robert Hays and "Hoosiers" (1986) with Gene Hackman. He also appeared in the action film "The Untouchables" (1987) with Kevin Costner. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in "Betrayed" (1988) with Debra Winger, the action movie "Backdraft" (1991) with Kurt Russell and the Damon Wayans action picture "Mo' Money" (1992). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Miss Marple: A Caribbean Mystery" (1989-1990). Swan more recently acted in "The Childhood Friend" (1994). Robert Swan died on August 9, 2023 in Rolling Prairie, IN at the age of 78.
