Robert Paige

Robert Paige was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Paige landed roles in various films, including "Cain and Mabel" (1936) with Marion Davies, "The Kid Comes Back" (1937) and "The Cherokee Strip" (1937) with Dick Foran. He also appeared in "Rhythm in the Clouds" (1937), "The Lady Objects" (1938) and "Highway Patrol" (1938). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties, appearing in "Golden Gloves" (1940), "Emergency Squad" (1940) and "Opened By Mistake" (1940). He also appeared in "Parole Fixer" (1940). In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in "Can't Help Singing" (1944), "Blonde Ice" (1948) and "The Green Promise" (1949). He also appeared in "Split Second" (1953) and the comedy "Abbott and Costello Go to Mars" (1953) with Bud Abbott. Paige was most recently credited in the comedic adaptation "Hellzapoppin'" (1991) with Ole Olsen. Paige passed away in December 1987 at the age of 77.
