Dead Man Sliding
The Sliders arrive on Hollywood Boulevard, and while walking along, come across a wallet on the sidewalk. Everyone seems wary of approaching it, but when Quinn (Jerry O'Connell) reaches for it, a woman, Taryn Miller (Perrey Reeves), fires a dart at him, but misses. The Sliders run, evading Taryn. At a bar, they discover that in this world, crime is almost nonexistent, due to a game show that has replaced lawyers and courts to determine criminals' fates. Taryn shows up, saying Quinn can't keep evading the law. A fight erupts, to the delight of the crowd. Taryn arrests Quinn and takes him to the studios, turning him over to "The Show's" sleazy producer, Phil (Fredric Lane). Despite Quinn's protests of innocence, Phil puts him on-stage as the other Sliders arrive. Arturo (John Rhys-Davies) is picked to be Quinn's "advocate," or lawyer, as the trial starts.
