Robert Barron

Robert Barron was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Barron started his acting career landing roles in such films as the western "The Pittsburgh Kid" (1941) with Billy Conn, "Jungle Girl" (1941) with Frances Gifford and the western "Back in the Saddle" (1941) with Gene Autry. He also appeared in "King of the Texas Rangers" (1941) with "Slingin Sammy" Baugh, "Overland Mail" (1942) and the Johnny Mack Brown western "Boss of Hangtown Mesa" (1942). His film career continued throughout the forties in productions like "Cheyenne Roundup" (1943), the western "Return of the Rangers" (1944) with Dave O'Brien and "Gunsmoke Mesa" (1944). He also appeared in "Brick Bradford" (1948). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Johnny Weissmuller adventure "Tarzan and the Leopard Woman" (1946), the Marty Robbins western "The Ballad of a Gunfighter" (1963) and the comedy "Eating Raoul" (1982) with Paul Bartel. He also appeared in the Clint Eastwood action movie "Honkytonk Man" (1982) and the John Huston sports drama "A Minor Miracle" (1983). Barron more recently acted in "Mob Busters" (1986) with Richard Kiel.
