Rick Kavanian
A frequent collaborator of filmmaker and comedian Michael Herbig (aka Bully), German actor Rick Kavanian has made his own mark as a comic performer, actor, writer, and voice talent. The child of Armenian-Romanian immigrants, Kavanian was raised in Munich, where he studied political science in college. After graduating, he began writing material for a German radio show in the early '90s along with friend Michael Herbig. After a stint at New York's Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in the late '90s, Kavanian returned to Germany, where he starred alongside Herbig on the sketch comedy programs "Bullyparade" and "Bully & Rick." In addition to his frequent sketch comedy and standup appearances on German TV, Kavanian also works as a German-language dubber of American movie comedies, most notably as the voices of Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard, and Goldmember in the mega-successful "Austin Powers" features.
