Richard Ridings
Richard Ridings was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Ridings's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the Tom Selleck crime feature "Lassiter" (1984), the musical "Billy the Kid and the Green Baize Vampire" (1985) with Phil Daniels and the comedic adventure "Clockwise" (1986) with John Cleese. He also appeared in "The Fourth Protocol" (1987) with Michael Caine and the Tim Robbins comedy adventure "Erik the Viking" (1989). He kept working in film throughout the nineties, starring in the comedy sequel "Fierce Creatures" (1997) with John Cleese, the comedy adaptation "The Wind in the Willows" (1997) with Steve Coogan and "Up 'n' Under" (1998). He also appeared in "The Messenger: the Story of Joan of Arc" (1999). In his more recent career, he continued to act in the period drama "Amazing Grace" (2007) with Ioan Gruffudd, the Paul Bettany dramatic adaptation "Creation" (2010) and the James Franco blockbuster action flick "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" (2011). Ridings's distinctive voice can be heard on "Jack and the Cuckoo-Clock Heart" (2014) with Samantha Barks. Most recently, Ridings acted in "Peppa Pig: The Golden Boots" (2015).
