Richard Monette
Canadian actor Richard Monette showed his talent on the Hollywood big screen, appearing in a long line of successful films. Monette began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as "Iceman" (1984) and the Martha Henry drama "Dancing in the Dark" (1986). He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Popeye Doyle" (NBC, 1986-87) and "The High Price of Passion" (NBC, 1986-87). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Kevin Hicks comedy "Higher Education" (1987), the dramatic comedy "I've Heard the Mermaids Singing" (1987) with Sheila McCarthy and "Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II" (1988) with Michael Ironside. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Murder By Night" (USA, 1988-89). He also was featured in the TV movies "The Good Fight" (1992-93), "And Then There Was One" (Lifetime, 1993) and "Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron" (Showtime, 1994-95). Monette last appeared in "Mary Higgins Clark's While My Pretty One Sleeps" (Family Channel Studios, 1996-97). Monette passed away in September 2008 at the age of 64.
