Reece Thompson

Canadian actor Reece Thompson began his career as a voice artist and has since became a well-known film and TV actor. Inspired to take up acting by his mother, who ran an independent film appreciation society, Thompson enrolled in drama classes and started going out on auditions. After landing several voiceover roles on popular anime series like "Inuyasha," Thompson transitioned to live-action performances in 2002 when he was cast as a young boy who befriends an ancient demi-god in the short-lived Canadian TV series "I Love Mummy." Over the next few years he became a familiar face to American audiences: he appeared on shows like the sci-fi adventure series "Stargate: Atlantis" and the award-winning children's program "Zixx: Level Two"; and made his feature film debut in the adaptation of Stephen King's novel "Dreamcatcher," about four lifelong friends who share a terrible secret from their childhood. In 2008 he landed a major role in the crime comedy "The Assassination of a High School President" as Bobby Funke, a lowly sophomore and aspiring journalist whose investigation into stolen SAT exams makes him the most popular kid in school. Since then Thompson has appeared alongside country music stars Dwight Yoakum and Kris Kristofferson in the melodramatic "Bloodworth" and explored the depths of grief and first love in the high school drama "Ceremony."
