Rebecca Creskoff
Actress Rebecca Creskoff has clearly sent different messages to different casting agents, playing the mother of boy-band stars the Jonas Brothers in their series "Jonas" and a pimp in the HBO male-prostitute series, "Hung." She landed her first parts in commercials, and by the late '90s she began getting supporting parts in films and series, including a recurring role as a doctor on the legal drama "The Practice." Though she co-starred in back-to-back sitcoms "Greetings from Tucson" and "Quintuplets," neither show caught on for more than a single season. Further guest spots, including one on the Miley Cyrus vehicle "Hannah Montana," led to a recurring part as the level-headed mom of pop darlings the Jonas Brothers on "Jonas," the Disney Channel's fictional series about their rock-star lives. Almost concurrently, she played the pimp to gifted coach turned male prostitute Thomas Jane on HBO's comedic drama, "Hung." Further distancing herself from the Disney fold, Creskoff soon found herself in a lingerie-clad catfight with Teri Hatcher on an episode of "Desperate Housewives."
