Raini Rodriguez
Ingenue Raini Rodriguez began her career as a child actor at age 11, when the precocious Texas native convinced her parents to move to Los Angeles so that she could better pursue her acting ambitions. Her career began humbly with roles in commercials and short films, but once she scored a one-off role on the Disney sitcom "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody," bigger offers began rolling in. Soon, Rodriguez made her film debut as the sweet and supportive daughter of Kevin James' bumbling security guard in the crime-comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop." While critics hated the movie's willfully goofy humor, audiences swarmed theaters to see the security guard caper, making it an unquestionable box office success. As she has matured, Rodriguez has begun to garner roles in teen productions, like the Disney ensemble dramedy "Prom," in which she plays the encouraging sister of a shy teen boy who is fearful of asking a girl to the big dance. It's a part for which Rodriguez was a natural fit, as in real life she's proven to be an inspiration to her younger brother Rico Rodriquez, who followed in his sister's footsteps and eventually landed a role on the hit sitcom "Modern Family" as the pint-sized poet Manny. The Rodriguez siblings actually played brother and sister in the little-known kid-centered comedy "The No Sit List" in 2009, and have been publicly supporting and promoting each other through their personal websites.
