Piers Haggard

Piers Haggard possessed a strong directorial eye, and consequently, he found a career as a director. He directed the television specials "The Christmas Chester Mystery Plays" (PBS, 1976-77) and "The Easter Chester Mystery Plays" (PBS, 1976-77). Early on, Haggard directed a variety of independent films, such as the sci-fi fantasy "The Quatermass Conclusion" (1979) with John Mills, the Peter Sellers fantasy "The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu" (1980) and the thriller "Venom" (1981) with Klaus Kinski. Haggard also took direction of the television show "Pennies From Heaven" (1979-1980). In the early stages of his Hollywood career, Haggard directed some television shows like "Pennies From Heaven" (1979-1980). Haggard's next directing projects were films such as the John Mills sci-fi fantasy "The Quatermass Conclusion" (1979), "The Fiendish Plot of Dr. Fu Manchu" (1980) starring Peter Sellers and "Venom" (1981) with Klaus Kinski. He continued to work in film in the eighties and the nineties, directing motion pictures like "A Summer Story" (1988). Haggard also directed the drama "A Summer Story" (1988) with Imogen Stubbs. Haggard also directed the Imogen Stubbs drama "A Summer Story" (1988). Most recently, Haggard directed "The Shell Seekers" (Hallmark Channel, 2007-08).
