Phyllis Hyman

Throughout her Hollywood career, Phyllis Hyman had a variety of powerful musical performances. Hyman worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "Eubie Blake: A Century of Music" (PBS, 1982-83) and "Barry Manilow: Big Fun on Swing Street" (CBS, 1987-88). Hyman also appeared in "School Daze" (1988), "The Kill Reflex" (1990) and "The Essence Awards" (CBS, 1991-92). Hyman's music was most recently featured in "The Watermelon Woman" (1997) with Cheryl Dunye.
