Peter Spears
Actor and filmmaker Peter Spears is best known for winning an Oscar for producing "Nomadland" (2021) at the 93rd Academy Awards. The film also won the BAFTA, Golden Globe, PGA Award, and the Golden Lion at the 2021 Venice Film Festival. Spears also produced the critically acclaimed film "Call Me By Your Name" (2017), and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture. He directed the underground cult-favorite short film "Ernest and Bertram" (2002) and developed the television series "Nightmare Café" (NBC, 1991) and "John from Cincinnati" (HBO, 2007). As an actor, Spears has appeared in several television series, including "Friends" (NBC, 1994-2003) and "E.R" (NBC, 1994-2008), and also acted in films such as "Father of the Bride Part II" (1995), "The Opposite of Sex" (1998), "Something's Gotta Give" (2003), "Call Me By Your Name" (2017), and most recently in the film "Sublet" (2020), directed by Eytan Fox. In 2020, Spears founded his own production company, Cor Cordium. The company has several film and television projects in development, including the upcoming film "Bones and All", which reunites Spears with filmmaker Luca Guadagnino and actor Timothée Chalamet.
