Péter Scherer

Peter Scherer was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Scherer began his acting career with roles in such films as the thriller "Missing Leading Man" (1997) with Claudio Bleont, the Sandor Gaspar drama "Homecoming: Little But Tough Part 2" (1998) and "Anyad! A Szunyogok" (2000). He also appeared in "The Lord's Lantern in Budapest" (2000). Scherer also contributed music to "Slaves of New York" (1989) and the Kate Valk fantasy romance "Dead Flowers" (1993). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the early 2000s, appearing in "Utolso vacsora az Arabs Szurkenel" (2001), the Sandor Csanyi action film "Kontroll" (2005) and "One Day In Europe" (2005). Scherer also created music for the Jean-Luc Julien documentary "Voodoo, Mounted by the Gods" (2003). Recently, he continued to act in the music-packed adaptation "Made in Hungaria" (2009) with Tamas Szabo Kimmel, the comedy "The Art of Being Straight" (2009) with Jesse Rosen and the action-packed comedy "Szinglik éjszakája" (2010) with Ilona Nagy. He also appeared in "Igazából apa" (2010) with Geza Kaszas and "Pornography" (2010). Most recently, Scherer edited "Dora oder Die sexuellen Neurosen unserer Eltern" (2015) with Victoria Schulz.
