Peter Gawthorne

Peter Gawthorne was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Gawthorne found his beginnings in film with roles in "His Glorious Night" (1929), "Temple Tower" (1930) and the Fifi D'Orsay musical "Those Three French Girls" (1930). Gawthorne made film his next project, appearing in "Charlie Chan Carries On" (1931), "His Lordship" (1932) and the Gloria Swanson comedy "Perfect Understanding" (1933). He also appeared in "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" (1939). Later in his career, Gawthorne acted in "Knights of the Round Table" (1953) with Robert Taylor. Gawthorne passed away in March 1962 at the age of 78.
