Thanks to his drug-induced vision, Ash knows what to do with the Necronomicon. Pablo and Kelly notice something ominous between the Book and Brujo’s pendant. Ash promises to visit Lem, but Fisher shows up for an almighty showdown with her former boss.
Ash, Pablo and Kelly, now joined by Fisher, arrive at the survivalist camp in the midst of chaos and must go to extreme measures to escape. Meanwhile, more is revealed of Ruby’s mission.

Gabrielle (Renee O’Connor) and Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) have until sundown to save Xena’s (Lucy Lawless) soul from being trapped inside a young girl forever. When Xena stops a group of Tharon’s (Peter Feeney) thugs from stealing treasures from Aphrodite’s temple, she sees a dying young girl named Daphne (Rose McIver). Deeply moved by the child’s plight, Xena remarks she would change places with her if she could. Aphrodite takes her at her word and morphs Xena’s life force into Daphne. The only problem is that Aphrodite does not successfully complete the transfer and Daphne awakens to discover Xena is inside of her!
Richard returns to the town of Brennidon, where he was born during Darken Rahl's massacre of every eldest son to avert the prophecy of the Seeker. He finds that the townspeople have given up their freedom under Rahl's rule, and discovers a secret from his past.
