Percy Hynes White
Percy Hynes White felt at home on a soundstage from almost the moment he was born-being the child of actor/writer Joel Thomas Hynes and writer/producer Sherry White. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland in Canada, Hynes White made his screen debut playing a small role in the film "Down to the Dirt" (2008). He would slowly but surely appear in additional projects, notably appearing in the comedy "The Great Seduction" (2013). In 2014, Hynes White found himself in the running for the starring role in the thriller "Cast No Shadow" (2014). The film's disturbing content worried Hynes White's parents, as did the fact that the role was meant for a slightly older boy. But Hynes White was director Christian Sparkes' first choice for the role, so the filmmaker revised the script to make the character younger, and so that Hynes White would not be as exposed to the film's more disturbing content. The young actor was even able to work with the safety of a parent beside him when his dad was cast as his character's father in the film. Hynes White would go on to appear in several other projects like the thriller "Edge of Winter" (2014) and the series "Murdoch Mysteries" (CityTV, 2008-), but his next big break came in 2017 when he was cast as Andy Strucker on the X-Men series "The Gifted" (CTV, 2017).
