Paul E. Burns

Paul Burns was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Burns began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the Douglas Fairbanks adventure "The Mollycoddle" (1920), "Jesse James" (1939) with Tyrone Power and the drama "Chad Hanna" (1940) with Henry Fonda. He also appeared in the western "Belle Starr" (1941) with Randolph Scott, the drama "Swamp Water" (1941) with Walter Brennan and "Timber" (1942). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "The Mysterious Intruder" (1946) with Barton MacLane, the William Gargan crime picture "Night Editor" (1946) and "The Devil's Mask" (1946). He also appeared in "Desperate" (1947). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the drama "Storm Warning" (1951) with Ginger Rogers, "Superman and the Mole Men" (1951) and "The Lusty Men" (1952) with Susan Hayward. He also appeared in the Bob Hope comedy sequel "Son of Paleface" (1953) and the drama "Three Hours to Kill" (1954) with Dana Andrews. Burns was most recently credited in the Elijah Wood crime drama "Green Street Hooligans" (2005). Burns passed away in May 1967 at the age of 86.
