Parker Sawyers
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, actor Parker Sawyers made his television debut in 2012 in the Netflix original TV series "Lilyhammer" (2012-14). He next appeared on the big screen in "Hyde Park on Hudson" (2012), a Bill Murray comedy about the romance between FDR and his distant cousin Daisy Suckley. Sawyers followed up this effort with an appearance in "Zero Dark Thirty" (2012), about the capture and killing of Osama bin Laden. In 2013, Sawyers played a number of small roles in feature films including "Austenland", "Drone" and "Kick Ass 2". In 2014 Sawyers played the role of Shaun Williams in the action adventure movie "Monsters: Dark Continent." In 2016 Sawyers came to prominence when he was cast as Barack Obama, in the movie "Southside With You" (2016), a fictionalized retelling of the relationship between Michelle and Barack Obama when the two were just starting out in the law profession, and living in Chicago. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016 and was widely praised. Following the Sundance premiere it was announced that Sawyers was cast in the Oliver Stone-directed "Snowden" (2017), about the NSA operative who disseminated secret files of the US government.
