Otto Hoffman

Otto Hoffman was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Hoffman started his acting career landing roles in such films as "Homer Comes Home" (1920), "Just Out of College" (1921) and "A Dangerous Game" (1922). He also appeared in the Hoot Gibson western "Trimmed" (1922), "Broadway After Dark" (1924) and the Rudolph Valentino adventure "The Eagle" (1925). He kept working in film throughout the twenties, starring in "On With the Show" (1929), "Acquitted" (1929) and "The Desert Song" (1929). He also appeared in the Dolores Costello period drama "Noah's Ark" (1929). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Buck Jones western "Hello, Trouble" (1932), "The Cheyenne Kid" (1933) and "The Iron Master" (1933). He also appeared in the musical comedy "Kid Millions" (1934) with Eddie Cantor and "Murder at the Vanities" (1934). Hoffman more recently acted in the crime picture "Stranger on the Third Floor" (1940) with Peter Lorre. Hoffman passed away in June 1944 at the age of 65.
