Otmara Marrero
Actress Otmara Marrero first came to attention as strong-willed tech wizard Izzy Morales in the gritty crime drama "StartUp" (Crackle, 2016-). Born and raised in Miami, FL Marrero began her performing career as a ballerina aged three and later performed professionally for the Miami Marlins Mermaids before injury saw her switch attention to the world of acting. After taking drama classes at her home state's International University Marrero landed her first role in a pilot, "Instant Gratification" (2015), which didn't get picked up, and suffered another setback when all of her lines during a guest appearance in sports-themed dramedy "Ballers" (HBO, 2015-) were left on the cutting room floor. Following a brief cameo in undercover agent series "Graceland" (USA Network, 2013-15), Marrero finally enjoyed some significant screentime playing Paloma Calvin, one of two sisters leading a secret life, in dysfunctional family drama "My Daughter's Dilemma" (2016). Marrero got her big break when she starred alongside the likes of Adam Brody and Martin Freeman as Izzy Morales, the fearless inventor of a virtual currency, in "StartUp" (Crackle, 2016-). A year later she appeared on the big screen as Anna in the early '70s-based coming of age feature, "Over Easy" (2017).
