Ona Grauer
In 1985, when actress Ona Grauer, born in Mexico City, was living in Nelson, British Columbia, her mother worked as a caterer on the set of the television program "MacGyver," which starred Richard Dean Anderson. Coincidentally, Grauer would go on to appear with Anderson in 2002, on the sci-fi series "Stargate SG-1" and again in 2004 in the spin-off "Stargate: Atlantis." She appeared in a third spin-off of the franchise, "SGU Stargate Universe," in 2009 as well. Her first TV role was in 1996, in another sci-fi program, "Sliders," which starred Jerry O'Connell and John Rhys-Davies as extra-dimensional travelers. She has since appeared in episodes of the young-Superman drama "Smallville," the 2003 "Tarzan" series, and the crime show "Flashpoint." She appeared in 2010 in a recurring role on the Canadian police drama "The Bridge" as the criminal prosecutor, Abby St. James. The program was unfortunately cancelled after only one season due to poor ratings. Some films Grauer has appeared in include the panned horror film "House of the Dead" (2003) and the Rodney Dangerfield comedy "My 5 Wives" (2000).
