Oliver Phelps
British actor Oliver Phelps is best known for his role as George Weasley, twin brother of Fred and classmate to Harry Potter in the film adaptations of the J.K. Rowling fantasy novels. The role of Fred was played by the actor's own identical twin, John Phelps. Oliver and John were interested in acting from a young age, participating in school productions before applying to an open casting call for the first Harry Potter film, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." After numerous meetings and a screen test, the boys won the roles as the Weasley twins, and since appeared in all the films in the series. Outside the franchise, they played guest parts, again as twins, on an episode of the country lawyer drama "Kingdom." In order to learn more about the filmmaking process, Oliver also worked as a runner on "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "The Da Vinci Code."
