Noël Roquevert

Noel Roquevert was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Roquevert's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the Roger Pigaut comedy "Antoine and Antoinette" (1947), the Pierre Fresnay mystery "Le Corbeau" (1948) and the Gina Lollobrigida romance "Fanfan la Tulipe" (1953). He also appeared in the dramatic biopic "Madame du Barry" (1954) with Martine Carol, the crime thriller "Diabolique" (1955) with Simone Signoret and the biopic "Napoleon" (1955) with Jean-Pierre Aumont. He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the dramatic adaptation "Nana" (1957) with Martine Carol, the comedy "Une Parisienne" (1957) with Brigitte Bardot and the Alain Delon comedy adaptation "Faibles Femmes" (1959). He also appeared in "Marie-Octobre" (1959) with Bernard Blier, "The Law Is the Law" (1959) with Fernandel and the crime adaptation "Come Dance With Me!" (1960) with Brigitte Bardot. In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in "A Monkey In Winter" (1962), "The Magnificent Tramp" (1962) and "Cartouche" (1964). He also appeared in the Jean Seberg comedy "Diamonds Are Brittle" (1965) and "La Ligne de Demarcation" (1966) with Jean Seberg. Roquevert more recently acted in "Le Viager" (1972). Roquevert passed away in November 1973 at the age of 81.
