Nino Castelnuovo

Nino Castelnuovo was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Castelnuovo's earliest roles were in film, including the Gerard BLlain drama "The Hunchback of Rome" (1960), "The Angel Wore Red" (1960) and "Rocco and His Brothers" (1961). He also appeared in the Alberto Sordi comedy "Everybody Go Home!" (1962), "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" (1964) and the drama "Les Creatures" (1965) with Michel Piccoli. His film career continued throughout the sixties in productions like the dramatic adaptation "The Reward" (1965) with Max von Sydow, the Rossana Schiaffino drama "The Cavern" (1965) and "A Young World" (1966). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Five Man Army" (1970), "Un Amour de pluie" (1974) and "Nude Per l'Assassino" (1975). He also appeared in "Amore Mio Spogliati... Che Poi Ti Spiego!" (1977) and the adaptation "Le Affinita Elettive" (1978) with Francesca Archibugi. Castelnuovo most recently acted in "The English Patient" (1996) with Ralph Fiennes.
