Nicholas Jones
Nicholas Jones was widely known for his acting on the big screen. Jones began his acting career by participating in dramas like "Daisy Miller" (1973) with Cybill Shepherd and Barry Brown, the Helen Mirren film "When the Whales Came" (1989) and the Ron Silver film "Fellow Traveller" (1990). He also appeared in the TV movie "Hamlet" (NBC, 1970-71). Jones worked in television around the start of his acting career with a role on "Our Mutual Friend" (PBS, 1977-78). He continued to act in productions like the Sean Bean dramatic adaptation "Black Beauty" (1994) and the dramatic adaptation "Vanity Fair" (2004) with Reese Witherspoon. He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia" (PBS, 1991-92) and "Unnatural Causes" (PBS, 1993-94). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Diane Kruger dramatic musical "Copying Beethoven" (2006), the crime drama "Flawless" (2008) with Michael Caine and the biopic drama "The Iron Lady" (2011) with Meryl Streep. He also appeared in the Judi Dench dramatic adaptation "Philomena" (2013). He also had a part in the TV miniseries "The Hollow Crown" (2012-). Most recently, Jones acted in "Effie Gray" (2015).
