Nelson Leigh
Nelson Leigh was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Leigh began his acting career with roles in such films as the Andy Clyde western "Texas Masquerade" (1944), "Identity Unknown" (1945) and the Dick Powell drama "Cornered" (1945). He also appeared in "Brick Bradford" (1948), the adventure "Adventures of Sir Galahad" (1949) with George Reeves and the Johnny Weissmuller adventure "The Lost Tribe" (1949). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the adventurous drama "Hurricane Island" (1951) with Jon Hall, the Johnny Weissmuller adventure "Savage Mutiny" (1953) and "The Virgin Queen" (1955). He also appeared in the crime picture "Creature With the Atom Brain" (1955) with Richard Denning. In the latter part of his career, he tackled roles in the adaptation "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" (1957) with Burt Lancaster, the drama "God Is My Partner" (1957) with Walter Brennan and the drama "Jet Pilot" (1957) with John Wayne. He also appeared in "Bombers B-52" (1957) with Natalie Wood and "In Love and War" (1958) with Robert Wagner. Leigh last acted in "A Gathering of Eagles" (1963). Leigh passed away in July 1985 at the age of 80.
