Neel Sethi
Neel Sethi was born in New York, to parents of Indian descent. Sethi's career as an actor began during his tenure as an elementary school student in New York City. He made his debut in "Diwali" (2013). However, Sethi's first big break came when he was cast as the lead character, Mowgli, in director Jon Favreau's film "The Jungle Book" (2016). One of two contemporaneous adaptations of Rudyard Kipling's renowned novel, the movie featured stars Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba, Christopher Walken, Lupita Nyong'o, and Ben Kingsley voicing the various computer-animated animal characters. Sethi performed against the CGI creatures as the only live-action star in the film.
