Nathan Hamilton
A native of Abilene, TX, singer/songwriter Nathan Hamilton draws on his rural roots to create vivid and sometimes startling images of small-town Americana. Having decided against a career in advertising, Hamilton transplanted himself to California in his early twenties to focus on acting and play writing. By 1993, Hamilton was ready to focus on music full-time and returned to Texas to find work on a horse ranch near Austin. In 1995, Hamilton enlisted in the alternative country bluegrass outfit, the Sharecroppers, and saw the release of one well-received album, Spirit of the Sharecroppers. The collaboration with the Sharecroppers ended in 1998, and Hamilton's solo debut, Tuscola, would follow in 1999 on Steppin' Stone records. ~ Matt Fink, Rovi
