Movita Castaneda was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Castaneda's earliest roles were in film, including the adaptation "Mutiny on the Bounty" (1935) with Charles Laughton, "Captain Calamity" (1936) and "Paradise Isle" (1937). She also appeared in "Fort Apache" (1948) with John Wayne. Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like "Red Light" (1949), the western "The Furies" (1950) with Barbara Stanwyck and the western "Wagonmaster" (1950) with Ben Johnson. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Stewart Granger action movie "Soldiers Three" (1951), the Cary Grant comedy "Dream Wife" (1953) and the Bill Williams western "Apache Ambush" (1955). Castaneda more recently appeared in "Panic in Echo Park" (NBC, 1976-77). Castaneda was married to Marlon Brando.
